Movie Time again!!!

Hey world!!
Guess what! Paula let me choose what movie we were going to go see today! ... Wait let me back up. For the past month or so, Paula has been busy and so has Jon. So busy with work, each other, work, and cleaning, photos, etc. Its been insane and we haven't done ANYTHING!!! :( Its been rather depressing at least for me :( ... RJ is still here but he is hanging out with Artie more than me, which is good and bad.  Mainly bad because I have no one to hang out with cause Mitch just sleeps and is a little anti-social with us the new guys in the apt. Anyways, Paula promised the other day that once she finished editing this round of photos, she was going to take me to a movie and it was going to be MY CHOICE!!! :)  Can you believe it? She said to choose a movie! :) So I did!! :)
So I choose BURLESQUE with Christina Aguilera! And Wow, I'm not sure Paula was as thrilled to take me, but I was excited. It was amazing! I loved it so much! The music, the songs, the dancing ;) .... oh and yes LOVED the OUTFITS!!! But don't tell Paula, I told you, I was supposed to close my eyes. I guess those outfits are fit for young Tiggers like me. Oh well, I thought it was great! :) Christina's voice is amazing! I can't wait til it goes on DVD and Paula buys it! :) She told me she was but I'm not allowed to watch it until I'm a little older!
Anyways, Paula and I had an absolute fabulous time together! We had the movie theatre to ourselves so I got to dance and sing along with the movie without worrying about the people behind or in front of us! :) It was so much fun. Paula and I so needed an afternoon like this!
Wonder what we will do next! Paula keeps mentioning something called a Christmas tree... No clue, but it sounds kinda fun. We will see though... We will see

......... Much Love,
                            Alfred! :)

The Braveset!

A big hello from Alfred's younger brother.  I'm Tony! It's been a wild and crazy, and yes sometimes bumpy ride since I arrived at my new home.  Life with 3 kids all 3 and under can be very rough! When I try to hide under the bed to get a rest, someone finds me.

Thankfully they have a pretty cool mom who saves me from getting too much love! Nothing more exciting than being pulled in 3 different directions because all of the kids want to love on you.

What can I say, I'm one popular guy!

This past week I got the extreme honor of following my youngest pal Keegan to a doctor appointment.  Keegan is a very special little boy.  He was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Cancer when he was just 3 months old.  He's now 18 months old, and is doing well, but he still has a long way to go.

To help keep him happy and to keep his mind off of things I went along.  I wanted to make sure those doctor's didn't hurt or scare my little buddy.

He got a scan called an MIBG.  This scan looks for any active cancer cells that might be in his body. He has to go through a lot just to get this scan!

Could you imagine being injected with an isotope that is radioactive? YIPES! How scary is that?  But don't worry, he won't explode.  The isotope just sticks to the active cancer cells (if there are any).

He has to be sedated and sent through this scary machine for about 45min.  That's a long time for a little guy like him, but he handles it really well.  He's one tough little man, and I'm glad I get to know him.  Even though he goes through so much he is really amazing.  He is always so happy and playful and doesn't let Cancer get in his way.

I really like this family, they are full of energy and fun.  They always have something going on and keep busy! Hopefully Alfred won't worry about me too much.  I'm adjusting well.  The only thing I have to really look out for is there hyper active dog, Molly.  She likes to try and chew on me, and I do not like that.  I am not a chew toy.

If you want to know more about my pal Super Keegan he has a site just for him, check it out, tell him hi and let him know how brave he is.  http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/SuperKeeganRay

I am looking for to so many more adventures with this amazing one of a kind family.

OH and Keegan's scans this week, looked great! He continues to be No Evidence of Disease.
Tony

Farwell! But yet, Hello!

So this past week, I escorted another one of my brothers to a new home! I love helping my family find better homes than a store. In Sept., one of Paula's friend's kids had a birthday. She turned 3. So in honor of her birthday, Paula and I got together and decided that this home would be perfect for my youngest brother. :) I'm a little concerned, considering he is going to a home of a 3 yearold, and two twin 1 yearold-ish... I mean, 3 kids, holy cow! I don't know if he is going to be able to do it. Oh well, Paula's friend will be around to save my brother when she can.
On a good note, my brother and Paula's friend have decided to send us updates about what's going on that we can post on here! ... So stick around, eventually, we will have some (scary) interesting stories from my brother!

Eureka!

It's been awhile, I'm sorry. I know. :( ... One last roadtrip post, well maybe two and I promise, I will get caught up. Paula has been working alot and working and working and starting a new job, etc. Its been insane. But we are finally catching up a little.
Anyways, you know that amazing roadtrip, we took at the end of August well, here is what you have been waiting for the place where we stayed! It was unbelievable! I mean, what is believable about staying in a railroad car in the middle of the woods, where there are no people around. It was quite beautiful! ... It had a hammock, a hot tub, and a ton of cool accessories all throughout the car! :) We even had a TV! I guess it was some sort of honeymoon/anniversary style place to stay, but we made it work. RJ and Artie managed to not contain themselves. I mean, they became the best of friends on this trip. You know, you can see it. In the picture of a hammock and me relaxing, you can see the two of them collaborating on something! Oh why did we have to bring them!
Anyways and then on the inside there was train decor everywhere! A miniature train for us to play on and a bunch of cool books for us to read, well to look at the pictures. Who has time to read on a vacation? Seriously, a vacation is a vacation away from everything that you can. That means cellphones too, Jon! :P .... But dang it, I wish we were still at that railroad car, far away from it all. :( ... Relaxing and not worrying about work, housework, parents, etc. I wish life was like a cabin in the woods.

The Arkansas Mountains!

On our way to the amazing sleeping location in Eureka Springs, Jon decided to show us the Arkansas mountains. Seriously, the mountains!
We couldn't believe it. They were so pretty and relaxing. Well relaxing for us, but not really for Jon, who drove the majority of the way, because Paula was taking pictures and hanging with us and trying not to be put asleep by the rolling mountains. That in itself was extremely hard... and the sun was so warm... zzzzzzz..... Sorry, yes we did take a small little nap, but Jon never noticed guess he was concerned with the "hills."  But they were so pretty. We got to stop down by a lake and took some pictures with Paula and Jon. Think it was Fort Smith lake :) It was so pretty.
Jon, I think, by this point was ready to be in Eureka Springs. It had been a long, long freakin day!!
You know what we found next? A cute adorable little shop with an overlook! It was perfect after Jon kept missing the cool overlooking areas :(  There were really no warnings for when they were coming up, you just heard Paula or Jon say 'Hey that would of been a great location.'  Its all good. :) We had a blast! Paula made Jon stand still for pictures and yeah, it was a perfect afternoon.
By the way, the entire time through the mountains, Jon kept talking about cool of a location our sleeping place was going to be! :) None of us had ever been there before and well, Jon was super, super excited!! :) He told us that as he was looking for places to stay he found this place and then the rest was history, we were staying there! :)  Okay, time for a little nap, before we make it to Eureka!

Scottys!! :) Yummy!

Oh my! On the way back home, Jon said we were going to stop for ice cream at Scotty's Drive-in. It looked a little scary when you drive by but dang, did it have good ice cream. There is so many different flavors and types. I couldn't decide so I decided to just try what Jon and Paula got! :) Jon just ordered a plain vanilla cone, but Paula decided to try this speciality sundae :) .. called a Grasshopper--Oreos, hot chocolate syrup, and
vanilla ice cream laced with mint flavor.
It was so YUMMY!!!
I got several bites and then Paula stole it back, but I got the end of the ice cream :) so YEA!
It was an absolutely the best night ever! I got to spend time with my best friends and get away from my annoying nephew!

Shrimp Daddy's! Yummy!

Well, don't be mad at me, but I took some time off from "babysitting" my insane, annoying nephew and invaded Jon and Paula's date night. Jon took us both out to this restaurant called Shrimp Daddy's in Sunrise Beach. It was amazing!
We had grilled and fried gulf shrimp, yummy! Here's the 411 on this place, the owner actually goes down to the gulf every so often to buy a huge, huge amount of
shrimp to last for awhile. So the shrimp is pretty fresh and tastes amazing. It is a type of Cajun place -so a little spicy. But for the most part, the food was amazing!
The inside is amazing with the Mardi Gras decor and the purple and yellow paint. Even the chairs and tables are amazing -everything is mismatched, but really fits all together.
I felt bad for interrupting Jon and Paula's date but dang it, I really wanted to get away from my nephew.
At least Jon and Paula had a good date :) even with me tagging along.

Bubble Bath Time!! :)

So, one night, Paula wanted to take a bubble bath when she was staying up a little late to prepare for going back to work. Well, I have to admit I fell asleep downstairs and forgot to make sure RJ was still asleep. :( I was such an idiot.
Due to me being asleep, I didn't find out about any of this until the afternoon when Paula eventually woke up.
Anyways, Paula started filling a bath and left it running. Well, while she was doing something else, RJ showed up and messed with the tub, water, and bubbles. It was insane! When Paula came back, her tub was almost to overflowing and the water was burning hot! It was insane. She started to fix it and then remember she forgot to get something, so she left again.
RJ again came into the bathroom and changed the water again!
But this time, while RJ was fiddling with the water, Paula caught him! ---and put him in time out and sent him to bed.

I'm beginning to think that my nephew will never ever behave. I hope my brother has worked out the whole situation with his wife soon, cause RJ is starting to wear out his welcome!

Fireworks and MORE CAMPING!!!!!!

On our camping trip, we even manage to cook in Jon's new Dutch Oven! We made blackberry cobbler, and pork chops covered in mushroom sauce with potatoes and onions! Yummy! Just talking about it all makes my mouth water... The only thing better would have been some type of chocolate dessert --- maybe a big chocolate chip cookie or a brownie. Oh well, S'MORES for me!! :)

Well as you can probably already tell from the pictures, RJ wanted to help Jon cook. We told him no, but he kept moving closer and closer until he was about to jump onto the hot dutch oven. So right as he jumped, Jon grabbed him before he landed on it. Thank God for that!

I told Jon he should of let him jump, cause if he had gotten hurt, he would have at least learned for the next time... But no, we had to do it this way. Then Jon had him the lid lifter and the fire gloves and let RJ play with the fire and the food... At least Jon was kind of supervising him, so the food didn't get burned!

After we had our food ( & it was AMAZING!!!), we wondered over to the dam at Pomme de Terre to go watch some fireworks for the 4th! :) I was so excited... We went over there and WOW!! It was great! We had the best seat and Jon and Paula left us on our own for a few so they could move to a different spot to see all the fireworks. :) So me and RJ bonded as we watched the sky turn into different colors and snacked on some food and drinks left in the car. :)

Camping...

Sorry for the long departure, its been one heck summer. :( And I am counting down the days until RJ goes on a little trip back home :) .... Only 60 days left!!!!!! I don't know if I can survive. I'll be glad when it goes back to being just me!.
Anyways, at the beginning of July, me, RJ, Paula, and Jon packed up and went camping! :) The first time all summer! I was so excited and the weather was perfect. I even got out of the air conditioning to come enjoy the weather.

The weekend passed too quickly for me, with Jon and Paula watching RJ and making sure he was not jumping into the fire pit, making a mess of dinner, bothering the neighbors, etc. But even they could not stop him from getting into trouble. :( ...
However, for the most part, we all enjoyed the weekend. RJ and me got to hang out in the tent and take naps when Jon and Paula were swimming. When some of Jon and Paula's friends came to visit, they brought us a Mountain Dew! :) We even got to start our new book, Breaking Dawn! Don't worry that post is coming soon...

WE'RE FAMOUS

One great thing happened this week, RJ and I became famous... I take that back it might have been a bad thing. :( See RJ got kinda kidnapped during Hillbilly Days.

NO, Wait a MINUTE!!! IT WAS NOT MY FAULT!!!

One of our new friends offered to take RJ on a tour of the Hillbilly festivities. While that was going on, I was helping Paula, Audra, and Jeff doing EMS. I like doing EMS, maybe I will make a career out of it just like Paula and the rest. I admit it, I got a little distracted, but still, he was out of my sight for a few hours with who I thought were friends... The next thing, I know is that Paula is getting text messages from people saying they saw RJ in a bad place and she needed to help him immediately. After she got those messages, she told me and we went searching all over for RJ. Paula's friends even put a picture of me and RJ up as background on their phones to show people what RJ looked like... I wasn't getting too worried, but as we looked, I could tell that we needed to find him soon before I had to call his parents and the authorities!
As we got to the back of the crafter area, near the camping area, Paula and I started to see flyers with pictures of RJ in a stove on top of a fire. :( I didn't know what to do at all. :( .... Paula finally calmed me down and we grabbed a security guard, who thankfully helped us to find poor RJ. .... Who I later discovered had faked the whole incident to attract attention to himself!! I couldn't believe it.... At least we finally made it through the weekend. I'm not sure I'm ready to take this boy camping. Maybe if he behaves better than he has this weekend, we will go camping.

Hillbilly Days --- Command POST

She had to leave us in the room with Jon and his friend Denise. She said she wanted us to experience what Jon does or at least an aspect. I warned her about the issues with RJ but did she listen? Of course not! So RJ and I got to hang out in the command post trailer and enjoy the air conditioning while Paula was in the heat. :) I like air conditioning!
You know you never really know what to expect if you leave us really unsupervised in a room with computers, radios and technology junk.
Denise tried to help entertain RJ, but that didn't really work, because he discovered radios!! He kept trying to kick off Denise and Jon from the radio cause he thought it was his turn to
play. And he really didn't understand why he couldn't get a turn. I told him it was because of the funnel cake on Saturday but he didn't listen to me.
But Denise decided to take pity on my poor pathetic nephew and let him do the morning weather report. .... But you can probably guess what happened.... Yup, he thought forecasting that it was going to be raining gum drops was funny. Denise, Jon and I didn't find it funny at all. When Denise tried to grab the radio back, hmmm... RJ wouldn't hand it over. I had to use my powers of UNCLE ALFRED to get the mic back. Yeah, maybe I don't want a mate, because I don't want little mes or little RJs... Oh yeah, I almost forgot RJ and I were given permission to help one of the acts get ready to sing. I'm not so sure that RJ was actually helping. He kinda got distracted by another girl. I guess his crush on Steph is over. How much more of this guy can I take?!?!?!?
(HUGE THANKS to Denise for shooting these pictures for me while Paula busy volunteering)

Hillbilly Days ----FUNNEL CAKE!!

Day 2 of the Hillbilly extravaganza! So RJ actually had a good idea! Instead of waiting for Paula or Jon to get unbusy and remember us, we snuck down in the back of the EMS gator that Paula and Audra brought up.
When we arrived down at the festivities, the smell of funnel cake, and the other yummy foods floated in the air. :) It smelled delicious!! :)
After Paula discovered us, she helped us to explore the crafts, but we weren't allowed to touch. She said if she couldn't afford what she wanted, she wasn't going to give us (mainly RJ) the possibility of damaging the crafts or making the crafters mad!
We got tired rather quickly in the heat, but as soon as we smelled the funnel cake again, I knew I needed some. The funny part was RJ beat me to it. He bought a funnel cake for us to share together! :) (I learned later that he "borrowed" money from Jon to buy it for me.)
I was so impressed by his selfless act. :) I actually started to brag. I called and told his parents about what happened. ..... If only I had waited just a little longer... just a little longer...... I, of course, distracted by the funnel cake, didn't happen to notice that RJ had placed the funnel cake on a table with a big, huge, annoying fan at the other end of the table --blowing straight in our direction!
That little punk caused me to get powdered sugar all, I repeat, ALL over me!!! and the freaking table and Paula! I mean how rude! At least we didn't get RJ's new friend Steph at all powdery! But seriously, that little brat, just had to get powdered sugar all over me! :( I swear this Hillbilly Days has been one fiasco after another. Hopefully the Sunday will be better. RJ and I are going to investigate the command post trailer. Its our day with JON!!! :) Hopefully RJ won't cause a disturbance or damage anything in the trailer. Otherwise, Jon will not be a happy camper!
