Munchins... in all varieties!

So, this past week, I took a roadtrip with Paula to Moberly to take some family pictures of her friends. The first friend we met was Cristi Cousin and her son Isaiah. Then the next day, we met Mahala and her family --Kenny, Kami, Keegan and Marshall. :) And wow... hmmm... the last kid I meet, I kinda liked but this time, I think I about got kidnapped.. Anyways back to my little adventure.
We wondered around all morning taking pictures. Welll.... let me rephrase that ... hmm... Paula and the Dixon family ran around all morning, I, on the other hand, took a long, peaceful nap in the morning sun/shade and enjoyed the slight breeze. :) Near the end of the session, the kids were getting cranky and of course, Mahala decides I need to babysit for a few minutes so she and Paula can take some picture together. :)

So, I babysat for these happy children.... You know the ones that look like they are unhappy....
Then Paula drove the happy family back to their home..
. I think I like them better asleep. Before we woke of the little cute devils.. (no offense, Mae, I'm sure they can be sweet) I got to meet Kami upclose and personal.

Hmmm.... sweet child, but hmmm... I think she wanted to kidnap me :( ... I tried to explain to her that there was no way it would work out. Her being a human and me being well a Tigger and the fact I didn't think her mom will approve. But I have a brother that is near her age. I must introduce them the next time. Ps. And yes, I did make it out and back into Paula's hands! :)
And I know you are wondering where Jon was in this adventure.... Not helping me :( .... he was in his office, he declined the happy trip.

Silver Dollar City! :)

Wow! What a day! A few weeks ago, me, Jon, and Paula went to Silver Dollar City to meet up with Paula's parents. It was so much fun! On the way to Silver Dollar City, we got into this insane traffic! Jon and Paula said they had never seen it this bad, except around Christmas and well... hmmm... that day was so NOT Christmas! But I had fun on the way, watch the cars line up behind us, seeing the stupid people run after their vehicles that they had gotten out of for a second. It was quite funny!

When we finally got to the park, we had to park in almost the next town. It was just crazy! I didn't get to stay very long in the park because Paula and Jon didn't want to lose me. :( the sad part about being a animal not on a leash. I got to take a nap, but it was a fun day. Jon, Paula and her parents wondered around the park all afternoon and went and saw this group called Homestead Pickers... They sound great! :) They sing things like Ghost Chickens. :) Their songs are amazing.
Then on their way out of the park, Paula and Jon picked up a monster cookie just for ME!!! :) Well, I had to share a little with Paula but it was mainly all mine! :) But all in all a wonderful, beautiful day! :)

Let's Go Fly a KITE!!

It was such a BEE-tiful day earlier this week! Even had wind, so Paula and I decided to venture out and fly a KITE!! My first kite. We went to the store to look for a good kite for me. And we found a Smurf one, which will work. I was hoping for a kite with my great uncle Tigger on it. Oh well maybe for my next kite we find one like that.

Anyways, the kite, it was really simple to put together, but as we were getting ready to try. Paula mention that this plan of ours might not work, due to the low winds. Mainly it wasn't very windy. All we could do was hope that it actually would pick up speed and blow. Well.... hmmm.... yeah... not so much. The kite once we got it into the air only stayed for a moment or two and then soon would be crashing to the ground again with no wind to sustain it. But it was alot of fun! Paula says we will try it again -- on a day that is a little more windy and possibly Jon can come with us as well.
Even though the rain has been coming down for the last few days, these pictures still put a smile on my face and remind me that summer is close and so are more days like that --- sunny, clear, and windy. :)

Next time, fly a kite with me. Please!

Hometown Heroes---Am I Hero?

Its been a busy last few weeks. I haven't even had a chance to really sit down and think or play on this blog.
Last month, Paula and Jon took me to this early (and I do mean before the sun raised) breakfast to celebrate some local heroes in the area. It was pretty fun. Jon sponsored a table and so a few volunteers showed up as well to enjoy the breakfast. Me and Paula kept poking each to stay awake! It was sad. :( Paula kept looking at the time and saying I should be driving, heading for her bed at this time. She also said it was really weird for her to just sit and enjoy the breakfast and videos because for the last two years of this event, she has had to write and take notes, etc. She said someday she would like to help out with the celebration.
Overall, it was a great morning full of amazing stories and videos about the local heroes. Later when I'm more awake, I'll try to remember to get back on here and tell you a little about all of the different heroes, but there were about six of them. One couple was award the compassion award. Last year, maybe in the fall, there was a bad, really bad wreck with a couple of out-of-state teens injured badly. Well, the couple who found them at first, took them in and took care of them, let family members know what was going on. It was a really cool hometown hero story.
Its a really cool event with people in the community honoring those who did something for their community in many different ways. Who knows maybe I will be hometown hero next year :) ....

Last Day and Awesome Food

Good-bye conference, Hello GOOD FOOD!!! :) Isn't it great? I got to partake in some unique food today on the way home. It was sooo good. We stopped at Lamberts, the home of the thrown rolls, which when Jon told me about that I didn't believe him at all. I mean who throws rolls at people who are trying to dine out. But hey, I said I would give it a shot.
We had to wait awhile until we could go in and eat, because we got there before the place was even open. And get this, we actually were behind several people who were already in line! It was insane. Anyways, Paula and I entertained ourselves as we waited for yummy food. :) We even found some big foot prints! I hope I never meet the person who made them, they will destroy me! :(

Oh well, once inside, I finally saw what Jon had been talking about! The Thrown Rolls!!!! WOW!!! AND THEY WERE EVEN HOTT!!! It was amazing, they actually threw rolls at you when you raised your hands for them. It was awesome!!! Then there were people that were roaming around the restaurant just handing out food like fried okra, macroni and tomatoes, fried potatoes, etc. It was amazing. I have never even heard of a place like that! Then when we got to the menu, I just couldn't decide.
Then Paula told me that if I got hungry, I could actually get a refill of whatever my main dish was! WOW!!! So much food. I think I stuffed myself... No, I'm sure I did. Now to home to rest my poor tummy... I think I filled it to the brim of thrown rolls.
