At the end of our trip on Saturday, we stopped at The Cave Restaurant and Resort for a bit to eat. Oh wow! I am so glad Jon and Paula decided on this place, even though Harry (the squirrel in the GPS) almost got us lost on the way to the restaurant. But it ended well and I got to share a meal with them at this cool restaurant. Its actually inside of a CAVE! A real-life CAVE! :) Its a little weird how you get to it, but wow, it is so worth it. I made Jon and Paula take pictures of my yummy food.
Then I stole their desserts and tried them. :) Yummy! But enough about the food. (though, I could rave for hours about the yummy steak, desserts, and all around yumminess that is the Cave.)But enough about the food, the waitress (p.s. the owner, Gary is awesome too.) I also got a picture with Paula and J
on's favorite waitress, Debbie, who is just plain awesome! :) She even got me a night-cap to top my night off... :)
This place is a real CAVE. You get to be picked up at the bottom of the hill and chauffeured to the top of the hill, where the restaurant is located. Once at the top of the hill, you take a elevator to the restaurant inside the Cave. There you get to enjoy you meal and all of the atmosphere that there is. Jon and Paula told me that around Christmas time, it was decorated all over and Gary, the owner, was wearing a Santa suit! Wow! I missed it, but there is always next year. It was a little dark to see the view of the river, but come this spring, Jon and Paula said there would be an awesome view and they would bring me back! :)
I even tried to pay the bill for Jon and Paula's meal, but Jon ended up paying, cause Gary said he couldn't take my card. Something about orange guys with cards... I g
uess he doesn't take my funny money. Oh well, at least Jon had money or we would still be washing dishes!
